Adding branches in MindView

These refresher videos cover the various ways to add branches in MindView 7 AT edition.

Adding branches using the Branches and Sub-branches Buttons from the Home menu/tab

Add branches using the buttons in the Home tab/menu. There are two Branch buttons in the Home tab:

  1. Branch – add a branch at the same level as the selected branch.
  2. Sub-branch -.add a sub-branch to the selected branch.


Adding branches via the buttons in the Insert Tab

We can also add branches via the Insert tab in MindView. There are three Branch buttons via the Insert tab:

  1. Branch – add a branch at the same level as the selected branch.
  2. Sub-branch -.add a sub-branch to the selected branch.
  3. Pre-branch – add a branch between the selected branch and its parent branch.


Adding branches using right-click

Add branches by right-clicking with the mouse and select the Insert option from the right-click menu options. It will then offer you the same three button functions from the Insert tab:

  1. Branch – add a branch at the same level as the selected branch.
  2. Sub-branch – add a sub-branch to the selected branch.
  3. Pre-branch – add a branch between the selected branch and its parent branch.


Adding branches using keyboard shortcuts

You can use keyboard shortcuts to add branches:

  1. Use the ENTER key to add a branch at the same level as the selected branch.
  2. Use the  INSERT key add a sub-branch to the selected branch.
  3. Use SHIFT + ENTER to add a branch between the selected branch and its parent branch.
