Extract text from imported slides in Audio Notetaker

You can extract accessible text from imported PowerPoint slides or PDF slides into either of the text-based panes in Audio Notetaker: Reference Pane or Text Pane.

Extract text from a slide with right -click:

1. Right-click on the slide
2. Choose “Extract Slide Text”
3. Select ‘Send to Text Pane’ or ‘Send to Reference Pane’

Extract text from All slides Via the Text Menu:

1. Click into the Text or Reference Pane to make sure the cursor is placed in the correct pane.
2. Select” Extract Text: all slides” from the right-hand Text menu side panel.

Extract text from a slide Via the text menu:

1. Click into the Text or Reference Pane to make sure the cursor is placed in the correct pane.
2. Select “Slides” from the right-hand text menu panel.

You can then use Audio Notetaker’s built-in Speak button to have the text read back. Other screenreaders should also be able to read back the extracted text in Audio Notetaker.
